The final match was between India and Canada West, where each team had 11 players participating. There was one player from the Indian team who did not participate in the match due to an injury. His left foot’s third last finger was injured, and he had stitches. His doctor advised him that if he played again without resting, he could lose his finger, which is why he was not participating in the match. The Indian team wanted him to play, and his older brother, Faryad, called him and urged him not to miss the opportunity.
This player’s name was Shahzad Ali, also known as Shahji Gujjar. After his brother’s encouragement, he participated and played in the final match. He was declared the best player of the match, achieving 20 raids and scoring 19 points, which led him to be recognized as the best of the tournament. Many people had high hopes for him to be the best player of this World Cup, but he had not even wanted to play. However, he played and excelled.
In this match, the best stopper was Ravi Kalsian, who made 6 touches and completed 4 stops.
